When an OEM Air Separation Module (ASM) in an aircraft Nitrogen Generating System is inadvertently exposed to fuel, the resulting damage to the delicate hollow fibers often lowers the performance of the ASM requiring replacement. (This ASM fuel exposure event is especially common on Boeing 737 aircraft.)
