Managing the extreme volume and velocity of ram air on the Boeing 777, the Fan Inlet Diffuser Housing (FIDH) is one of the most highly stressed components on the aircraft. Component function in this extreme and harsh environment commonly results in cracks, punctures, coating & structural material delamination, as well as structural compromise at critical support points.
